The Congregation for Sacred Practices is pleased to announce a training for ministers, guides, therapists, spiritual directors, and coaches to support people through a 30-day microdosing protocol. If you want to add supporting microdosing to your skillset in working with members (clients), this is a course for you.

MD Course Description
Microdosing: Basics is a seven week experiential course that mixes live, online teaching & observation with weekly experiential practice microdosing and ministering with fellow students. The course will model a 30-day microdosing protocol using 100-200 mg of the “niños” sacrament. We will cover the basics of working with a member in a microdose protocol, including an intake session, an intentions session, and how to work with a member during their protocol. In addition to live meetings, you will be required to meet with another student as a practitioner (1 hr) and another time as a member/client (1 hr) each week. Students will source their own sacrament.

“In the twilight between science and spirituality, Channing’s microdosing class unfolds like a quiet revelation. His intimate knowledge of the medicine is not merely technical but steeped in a poetic depth that whispers mysteries from the unconscious world. In his teachings, one discovers a rare art—a way of holding a container for another soul, a gesture that transcends physical proximity. Even in our absence from one another, his method creates an invisible tapestry of care and connection.

There is something remarkably serene in the way he sits with ambiguity, accepting the lower dose as a subtle nod to the great mystery. His calm presence amid uncertainty invites us to learn a different kind of alchemy, one where the medicine is but one of many gifts on offer. Truly, in Channing’s healing field, there lies a treasure far richer than the mushroom itself—a journey into the uncharted realms of self and spirit.” – Lisa

“Taking the Microdosing Protocol Course with Channing was a turning point in my path as a minister-in-training. From the very first session, it was clear that this wasn’t just a “class”—it was a living container, thoughtfully held, and intentionally designed for both personal transformation and ministerial preparation.

Channing’s presence throughout was steady, wise, and deeply grounded. He brought a clarity to complex material without ever diluting its sacred depth. What stood out most was his ability to hold spaciousness while also offering structure—inviting each of us to find our own voice within the protocol rather than prescribing a single way. I never felt like I had to become a copy of someone else’s method. Instead, I was invited to discover my own.

This course is now woven into the fabric of my ministerial path. Not just because of the tools it offered, but because of the way Channing modeled presence, humility, and integrity throughout. I didn’t take this course as a client—I took it as a student, and I’m walking away as a future guide, clearer and more committed because of his leadership.” - Mike

This course provided a thorough, research-based introduction to the subject while maintaining a strong focus on participant safety and responsible use. Channing communicated complex concepts clearly, answered questions thoughtfully, and created a container that was both professional and supportive. His deep expertise and compassionate approach fostered an environment where I felt respected, understood, and fully engaged. Each lesson was thoughtfully structured, blending scientific knowledge with genuine care for participants' individual journeys.

What stood out most was Channing's dedication to our safety and growth - every question was met with insight and encouragement, and the experience empowered me to make well-informed, responsible choices. Can't emphasize enough that through training in this way, I have experienced both meaningful personal growth as well as a renewed sense of clarity and purpose in my life and work - and I feel well prepared to support those that I will work with in support of their own microdosing path. - Quentin

Channing McBride is a founding Minister in the Congregation for Sacred Practices and practiced medicine guiding for the last four years. He has assisted the Training for Ministers in both San Francisco and Washington, DC. He now offers medicine sacraments for Congregational members. Separate from his sacramental work, Channing has practiced professional bodywork for the last decade. He is an autodidact with a highly intuitive approach and combines several different modalities, tailoring each session to the individual needs of the client. This adds a special dimension to his sacramental work. Many clients experience his bodywork sessions as a journey through their own somatic emotional world emerging with both healing and a new perspective. Channing has studied with many great body workers such as Rick Gray, Adam Kahn, David Penner, and Trevor Getsla. Most recently he graduated from a training on the Tamura Method conducted by Wynn Tamura.
